David Campbell is an experienced business lawyer representing start-ups, emerging-growth companies, and investors, as well as counseling companies in both buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions. Practicing out of Witan’s Bay Area office, David provides strategic counsel to business professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors assisting his clients in building great companies. His practice focuses on early-stage companies in a wide variety of industries ranging from technology and Internet start-ups to consumer goods companies.

David advises companies throughout their entire life cycle including entity formation, corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property matters, licensing, employment matters, equity and debt financings, securities law compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Having been a Silicon Valley-based legal and business professional for over 20 years, David has a wealth of experience to share that enables him to provide actionable legal and business guidance to his clients.

What separates David from many attorneys is that David has founded and worked at start-ups in operations roles and served as General Counsel of mFoundry, a leading FinTech software company, to the company's acquisition by Fidelity Information Systems. David’s broad experience makes him acutely aware of the necessity of providing his clients with clear, business-oriented counsel.

When he is not counseling clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, cheering his children on at their various sporting events, racing his bicycles, and working on improving his golf game.

David is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and Pomona College.
